By adding an action of "Custom Data", what you're doing is to register a variable that allows you to
personalize the conversation with each of your contacts
. The contact value assignment for each "Custom Data" is done when you launch a campaign.
A "Custom Data" action remains hidden during the conversation, unless
you invoke its value within the text of a question
. To invoke the value, all you have to do is start typing the name of the "Custom Data" ID and SmartChat will show a selection list from which you can choose.Here is an example of the designer view when you invoke "Custom Data" and how the message arrives to the user:
